WARRIORS ANNOUNCE NEW BUSINESS OPERATIONS STAFF
Phoenix Gibb-Wayland commented on her new position:
“I am honoured to be stepping into this role and continuing the great work already happening within the Warriors organization. There is so much potential to grow both our presence and our impact, not just in West Kelowna, but throughout the Okanagan. From expanding our reach to creating spaces where fans, families, and local businesses feel truly connected to the team, I’m excited to help shape what’s next.”
The Warriors have announced several other developments related to their business staffing and operations. These changes include:
Amy Kruger, long-time Office Manager, has been promoted to Director of Business Operations leading execution of various functions that drive the business, including Game Week preparations and Game Day operations. Amy will continue her role as a sales leader with sponsors and a constant presence in the Warrior’s office and the community.
Clarissa Kazakoff has been hired as Social Media Coordinator for the Warriors and affiliates. Clarissa has spent the last two seasons as a social media and digital content intern for the hockey club. In addition to her role driving creative content Clarissa will lead a revitalization of the team’s Merchandise business.
Brad Karp, long-time game night host for the Warriors, is taking an expanded role with the club as Game Night Director. In addition to his role engaging with fans, Brad will manage game night execution.
Owner and Governor John Murphy commented: “We are excited about the new additions and new structure of our business staff. When Chris Laurie moved on, it allowed us to re-think how we operate. Our CEO Rod Hume is a hands-on manager, and he will work with the staff to help them achieve our goals. One of the pillars of our mission has always been to have a positive impact on our community. With the addition of Phoenix and the expanded roles of Amy, Clarissa and Brad our fans and business partners can expect fresh new ways to interact with the Warriors brand and the same exciting presentation inside of RLP.”
The Warriors will open training camp on August 29th and the home opener will be September 19th at Royal Lepage Place.
