Dust off your hockey stick shaped putter, grab a six foot sub sandwich, and pull that Ray Bourque era Bruins jersey out of the closet, because Happy Gilmore Night is coming to Royal LePage Place on November 1st!
It will be a night to celebrate Adam Sandler’s 1996 comedy classic when the West Kelowna Warriors host the Brooks Bandits in BC Hockey League action. The boys from West K will be sporting special jerseys, paying tribute to the sweater that Sandler’s character wore during the on-ice hockey tryouts scene in the early parts of the movie. On the announcement of Happy Gilmore Night, West Kelowna Warriors President Chris Laurie said “With the production of Happy Gilmore 2 on the horizon, we thought it would be fitting to celebrate one of the greatest comedies ever made. Happy tried out for the Warriors and we are going to recreate his uniform. The entire event will be Happy Gilmore themed. We are going to have a lot of fun with it!”
