WEST KELOWNA B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors take down the Vernon Vipers in the opening night of the Okanagan Cup Tournament by a score of 4-1 Friday night.

The game started out with a Vipers mistake when Hunter Donohue got the puck stolen away from Elan Bar Lev Wise and fired it past Vipers goalkeeper Kobe Grant to make it 1-0 Warriors only 10 seconds into the game. The Warriors would find themselves on the penalty kill late in the 1st when the Vipers would strike when Colby Feist would cross ice a pass to Ryan Shostak to tie the game up at one heading into the second.

The Warriors came out strong in the second period scoring a pair of goals. First was a great setup by Charles-Alexis Legault to Felix Trudeau to make it 2-1 Warriors. Later in the period Deegan Mofford would cash in on a loose rebound to extend the Warriors lead and make it 3-1.

The Warriors would hold their two goal lead through the third and add an empty net goal courtesy of Felix Trudeau to make it 4-1.
