WEST KELOWNA B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors steamroll the Merritt Centennials by a score of 8-2 Wednesday night.

The Warriors started with a flurry of shots on goaltender Colton Phillips-Watts but couldn’t find the elusive first goal of the game. Things remained scoreless after one period.

After a long delay during the first intermission because of a broken Zamboni, the second frame out begin about a half hour later than originally planned. The delay benefitted the Warriors as they came out flying to start the second stanza. First it was Isaiah Norlin scoring his first BCHL goal to make it 1-0 then Felix Trudeau was able to settle down a bouncing puck and beat Phillips-Watts to score his 20th of the season and make it 2-0. The Centennials would later score a pair courtesy of Jackson Hungle and Levi Carter to tie it up at 2. Tyson Jugnauth would give the Warriors back the lead with a late goal to make it 3-2.

The third period was all Warriors. 5 unanswered goals scored led to an 8-2 final. Goals scored by Tyler Rubin, Tyler Cristall, Charles Alexis Legault, Isaiah Norlin scoring his 2nd and Marcus Joughin adding one late completed what was a dominate 3rd period.

Final shots: 46-15 Warriors.

The Warriors return home this Saturday when they battle the Centennials again. Puck drop 7:00pm PST from Royal LePage Place. Tickets available at westkelownawarriors.ca. Catch broadcasts on BCHL TV (formally HockeyTV) or tune into the Warriors MixIr radio station.
