West Kelowna, B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors head back to Vernon for game 18 of the Pod Season Wednesday evening.

The Warriors(6-9-1-1) are coming off their 6th loss in 7 games after a tough 2-1 loss to the Vernon Vipers Monday night. Simon Ferguson stated he was happy with his clubs effort over the past two games but simply ran into two very good teams playing their best hockey of the Pod season. With the win the Vipers now hold the top spot in the North Okanagan Pod with an (11-5-1-1) record, 10 points ahead of the Warriors.

Tonight the Warriors take on the Salmon Arm Silverbacks(9-5-2-1). The Silverbacks are sitting only 3 points behind the Vipers for the top spot in the Pod standings. The top line of Sullivan Mack, Simon Tassy and Noah Serdachny continue to impress. All 3 forwards sit in the top 10 scorers in the league and have done some serious damage against the Warriors. The Warriors have been struggling offensively as of late, only scoring 4 goals in 4 games. The powerplay has also been stagnant for the Warriors who’ve gone 0/18 on the man advantage over the past 4 games. Warriors will need to match the Silverbacks offense if they want to win Wednesday night.

Puck drop for the Warriors will be 7:30pm versus the Silverbacks. Catch the broadcast on BCHL TV (formally HockeyTV) or tune into the Warriors MixIr radio station.
