PENTICTON, B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors rough start in Penticton leads to a 5-1 Vees victory Friday night.

The Warriors didn’t get off to the start they wanted with the Vees scoring the Teddy Bear Toss goal only 47 seconds into the game. The Vees came in flying in the first with Jackson Niedermayer scoring the teddy bear toss goal and then after great fore-checking inside the Warriors zone led to Jack Barnes scoring his third of the year to make it 2-0 Vees. The Warriors would get on the board after Carter Wilkie stole the puck in the Vees zone firing a shot past goaltender Yaniv Perets to cut the lead heading into the dressing room.

The Warriors came out strong to start the second period but it only lasted a couple of minutes. The second half of the period was all Vees starting with pressure in the Warriors zone where Tyler Ho was able to receive a pass from Tristan Amonte to make it 3-1. Less than 4 minutes later Tyler Ho would go back on the attack and add his second of the night and third point of the evening to make it 4-1 Vees after two periods of play.

Things didn’t start well for the Warriors in the third. After Spencer Hora took another penalty the Vees powerplay would go to work and just as the penalty expired Carson Kosobud would score his 2nd of the season to finish the game off ending it by a score of 5-1.
