West Kelowna, B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors head back to Vernon for games 19 & 20 of the Pod Season starting Saturday evening.

Saturday May 8th VS Salmon Arm Silverbacks: 6:00pm

The Warriors are coming off a big victory over the Silverbacks last Wednesday. It was a game that almost got away from the Warriors. After taking a 5-2 lead, the Warriors got into penalty trouble allowing the Silverbacks to score a pair of goals and have a full 2 minutes to try and tie the game up. The Warriors would survive and pick up their biggest win of the Pod season by a score of 5-4. Tonight both teams have only pride to play for with no movement in the standings since the Vipers secured the number one position in the Pod. Watch for some motivated veterans of the Silverbacks to come out strong in their final games of Junior hockey.

Sunday May 9th VS Vernon Vipers: 4:00pm

The Vipers have officially won the Vernon Pod, but with blue liners Seth Barfaro, Hunter Donohue, forward Tyler Carpendale and goaltender James Porter Jr playing their final junior hockey games of their careers, the Warriors should still expect a motivated Vipers team. The Warriors will have a trio of players playing in their final Junior hockey games. Forwards Carter Wilkie, Ben Woodhouse and goaltender Zach Bennett will age out after this season.

Puck drop for the Warriors on Saturday will be 6:00pm versus the Salmon Arm Silverbacks and Sunday will be 4:00pm versus the Vernon Vipers. Catch broadcasts on BCHL TV (formally HockeyTV) or tune into the Warriors MixIr radio station.
