WEST KELOWNA B.C – The West Kelowna Warriors hope to turn their four game winning streak into a five game winning streak Tuesday night.

Wild VS Warriors Regular Season Schedule:

Sept 15th VS Wenatchee – 4-2 LOSS

Sept 26th VS Wenatchee – 7pm  5-2 WIN

Nov 23rd @ Wenatchee – 7:05pm

Nov 24th @ Wenatchee – 7:05pm

It’s a battle between two clubs that are going in opposite directions. The Wenatchee Wild have lost 8 of their past 12 games. The West Kelowna Warriors are trending in the right direction after losing 5 of 6 games, winning 4 straight, all versus interior division opponents. The most recent was a thrilling victory over their rivals the Penticton Vees.

The words “WIN” and “South Okanagan Events Centre” haven’t been said in the same sentence around the Central Okanagan for some time. In fact it was 2016 since the Warriors defeated the Penticton Vees. Head Coach and General Manager Geoff Grimwood gives credit to the entire team playing well, not just a great top line or stellar goal tending. The past two games have had all four lines getting on the score sheet and both goaltenders Brock Baier and Connor Hopkins continue to shine as the top duo between the pipes in the BCHL.

Last time these two teams played the Wild out-shot the Warriors 44-25 with Connor Hopkins stopping 42 of those shots. The Warriors will have to push back to make sure they even up that category if they want to pick up their fifth straight victory. As for the Wild, the inconsistent play needs to stop if they want to have long term success. They have great talent up front and have shown they can take over  game on the scoreboard. All eyes will be on the french connection of Chistophe Tellier and Christophe Fillion, who combined for a total of 5 points in Wenatchee’s 8-1 victory over Cowichan Valley last Friday.

Catch tonight’s game on Mixlr and Hockey TV. Warriors Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations Chase Johnston is back on the mic with a pregame show 10 minutes before puck drop. Just a reminder that tickets are still available for this evenings match up. Visit the Warriors website and select single game tickets for more details.
