This is the first of two preseason contests between the Warriors and Silverbacks, where the Silverbacks got the best of the Warriors winning the series series 4-2 back in 2018-2019.

The lineups for tonight will more than likely consist of prospects for both clubs with perhaps a couple more committed Warriors players suiting up this evening. Head Coach and General Manager Brandon West has remained silent on who exactly he will send out in game two of the preseason. Wednesday nights game had a taste of the future with West Kelowna native 2003 born Riley Sharun scoring the lone goal for the Warriors. Warriors fans also got a taste of the California twins Drew and David Vieten, who made an impact on Wednesday nights game showing hustle and chemistry as a part of the top unit in the 2-1 loss to the Vees. Tonight’s game is crunch time for those who are looking to crack those final spots on the Warriors lineup.

As for the Silverbacks, they are still reeling after a significant loss to their roster after 2002 born forward John Little was lured by the Vancouver Giants(WHL) 11 days ago. Little was expected to be the Silverbacks leading scorer in 2019-2020 and now Silverbacks Head Coach Scott Atkinson and his coaching staff have to fill a critical spot on the roster.

Tickets for tonight’s preseason game can be purchased at the door at Royal LePage Place ahead of the 7:00 PM opening puck drop and is the second of three Warriors preseason games held at RLP. Season ticket holders get in for free. The game will not be broadcast on hockey tv but fans can listen live FOR FREE on the Warriors Mixlr Network. The Warriors are back in action on Saturday night when they conclude the home at home with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks. Puck drop at 7:00pm from the Shaw Centre in Salmon Arm.
