The Warriors are coming off their first home victory of the season Friday night after defeating the league leading Salmon Arm Silverbacks by a score of 2-1. It was a game that saw newcomers like Andrew Viggars score a goal in his first game back with the Warriors. Also veteran Brock Baier was able to stop 37 of 38 shots keeping it a one goal game late. The Warriors also got a boost with both Lucas Cullen and Levi Stauber back in the lineup allowing Brandon West to be a little flexible on special teams. This gave the second power play unit more opportunities cashing in on the first goal of the game from Viggars.

Tonight the Warriors face off with a motivated Merritt Centennials team. A club that has only won a pair of games this season, one of them was against the Warriors. The Cents were able to pick up a 4-2 victory last time these clubs met, but that was in Merritt’s Nicola Valley Memorial Arena. Tonight’s game will be played on home ice where the Warriors are starting to not only figure things out but start a solid point streak after picking up 8 out of 10 points in their past five games.

This evening’s game will be broadcast on both HockeyTV and the Warriors Mixlr Network. Puck drop at 6:00pm from Royal LePage Place in West Kelowna. For tickets to any upcoming home game visit tickets.westkelownawarriors.ca for details and packages.
