WEST KELOWNA B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors hope to have a different outcome tonight versus the Nanaimo Clippers.

WARRIORS VS CLIPPERS REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULE:

Friday September 21st VS Nanaimo(BCHL Showcase)  WIN 4-2

Saturday October 13th VS Nanaimo  7pm

Last night the Warriors traveled to Merritt and had to play at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena which is a shock for rookies around the league mainly because of the different sized ice surface. Tonight they head back home and face a Nanaimo Clippers team coming off one of their biggest victories of the season stealing one in Wenatchee.

The Warriors mainly need to just press the reset button tonight and wake up from what was a nightmare last night. Although the Warriors have faced the Clippers already this season dating back to the BCHL Showcase, the Clippers have made numerous roster changes and trades over the past couple weeks giving them a new look only 3 weeks later. A total of 7 new players have been added to the roster because of trades and injuries to the lineup. Clippers Head Coach Darren Naylor was able to bring in Sammy Steele, Devon Mussio, Gunnar Wegleitner, Thomas Samuelson, Danny Gatenby, and Carter Stephenson. These pieces have provided veteran presence on this Clippers team and has provided depth scoring both up front and on the back end. West Kelowna needs to be aware that this is a different Clippers team this time around.

West Kelowna will see Connor Hopkins start between the pipes with the Nanaimo Clippers more than likely countering with net minder Landon Pavlisin. Last time Hopkins faced the Clippers he stopped 20 of 22 shots picking up the 4-2 victory.
