West Kelowna, B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors head back to Vernon for games 5 and 6 of the Pod Season starting Sunday afternoon.

The Warriors are coming off a stellar performance last Thursday and Friday earning 3 out of 4 points versus the Silverbacks and Vipers respectively.

Sunday April 11th VS Salmon Arm Silverbacks: 4:00pm

The Warriors rookies shined versus the Silverbacks last Thursday. The new look line of Riley Sharun, Damon Jugnauth and Brennan Nelson connected with two out of the three Warriors goals proving the Warriors have what it takes to provide depth scoring. It was a game where the Warriors were trailing 3-1 to the Silverbacks in the third, but two quick goals late allowed the Warriors to at least get a point Thursday afternoon. The Silverbacks have improved their play since the opening weekend of the Pod Season, picking up 5 of a potential 6 points in their last three games. The Warriors will need to take advantage and get a lead early to slow down any momentum the Silverbacks might have moving forward.

Monday April 12th VS Vernon Vipers: 1:00pm

The Warriors were able to get the better of the Vipers in their second meeting last Friday picking up a 4-2 victory. This game was the arrival of Warriors forward Marcus Joughin who registered one goal and two assists in the victory. The Warriors also got superb goaltending from Zach Bennett who stopped 32 of 34 shots from the Vipers. The Vipers will be rested and will be smelling blood after surrendering two straight losses.

Puck drop for the Warriors on Sunday will be 4:00pm versus the Silverbacks and Monday at 1:00pm versus the Vipers. Catch broadcasts on BCHL TV (formally HockeyTV) or tune into the Warriors MixIr radio station.
