The Warriors are coming off another loss last Monday to the Trail Smoke Eaters. It was in front of a capacity crowd of 1414 inside Royal LePage Place with the Warriors once again getting off to a great start only to fall short in the second and third periods. Even with Philippe Lapointe and Max Kryski out of the lineup the Warriors were still not matching the skill and talent the Smoke Eaters had within their lineup. Kent Johnson once again dominated the game with 3 points totaling 22 points versus the Warriors in six games this season.

Tonight the Warriors head to Vernon to take on the Vipers, a club they’ve had some success with this season winning three out of the seven games this season. Most recently was a tough 4-2 loss last week in Vernon. The Vipers had a new x factor that game, Dawson Holt. Holt was able to pick up a pair of goals including the first star of the night. Since returning from injury this past week, Holt has registered at least a point in every game totaling up to 6 points in 4 games. Holt is able to make a difference on the faceoff dot and penalty kill as well winning almost every draw he had last week plus creating numerous shorthanded scoring chances for the Vipers. The Warriors need to be aware of when Holt is on the ice this evening.

This evening’s game will be broadcast on both HockeyTV and the Warriors Mixlr Network. Puck drop at 7:00pm from Kal Tire Place in Vernon. A reminder that Saturday’s home game in Royal LePage Place will be Fan Appreciation night, where Warriors players will be giving away their game worn jerseys to lucky fans and player awards will be handed out.
