POWELL RIVER, B.C. – The Warriors(4-13-3-2) kick off their Island road trip versus the Powell River Kings(9-13) Friday night.

Warriors vs. Kings 2019/20 Regular Season Schedule:

Friday, November 8th @ Hap Parker Arena (7:00 PM)

Friday, November 29th @ Royal LePage Place  (7:00 PM)

The Warriors are coming off another loss, this time to the Coquitlam Express. It was a 4-0 victory for the Express where Clay Stevenson wasn’t really tested throughout the game. It was a solid defensive performance for the Express holding the Warriors off the scoresheet.

Tonight the Warriors look to get back on track versus one of the youngest teams in the BCHL, the Powell River Kings. If you look back last season, Kings Head Coach and General Manager Tyler Kuntz had the luxury of veterans like Ryan Brushett, Jayden Lee, and Ben Berard to lead the way. This season the Kings have one of the youngest clubs in the BCHL. The Kings were full speed ahead to start the 2019-2020 campaign but have fallen short going 4-13 ever since. For Kings Head Coach Tyler Kuntz, it’s obvious he needs to get back in the win column, and a win versus a struggling Warriors team might be the secret recipe. The Warriors need to take full advantage of the youth of the Kings going into tonight’s game and capitalize on special teams.

This evening’s game will be broadcast on both HockeyTV and the Warriors Mixlr Network. Puck drop at 7:00pm from Hap Parker Arena in Powell River. For tickets to any upcoming home game visit tickets.westkelownawarriors.ca for details and packages.
