The Warriors are coming off a 5-2 loss to the Penticton Vees Tuesday night. The Warriors got off to a great start with John Evans scoring a short handed goal early, but the Vees took control of the game in the second period scoring 5 goals. The Warriors were without defender Ryan Novecosky who was out with illness and was needed against the Vees top forwards.

Tonight the Warriors take on the Vernon Vipers. The Warriors and Vipers go head to head a total of 7 times this season and still have 5 games remaining head to head. The last time these two teams met was at the BCHL Showcase where Johnny Derrick picked up a 29 save shutout. Both of these clubs look much different this time around. The veterans of the Warriors are gone and the youth movement begins in West Kelowna. The Vipers found their goaltender in Reilly Herbst who’s capable of stealing games, and of course the storyline of this game is the return of Max Bulawka. Bulawka was recently dealt to the Vernon Vipers in exchange for Elan Bar Lev Wise and a player to be named later and is motivated to make some noise in his old rink tonight. Bar Lev Wise is also looking at making a splash this evening. The Ohio State committed forward has only 1 goal this season and felt he wasn’t a good fit under the Jason McKee led Vernon Vipers system. Both Bulawka and Bar Lev Wise have something to prove against their former teams this evening.

This evening’s game will be broadcast on both HockeyTV and the Warriors Mixlr Network. Puck drop at 7:00pm from Royal LePage Place in West Kelowna. For tickets to any upcoming home game visit tickets.westkelownawarriors.ca for details and packages.
