The Warriors are looking to avenge their preseason opener when they suffered a 2-1 loss to the Penticton Vees last Wednesday night.

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks took the Warriors to the distance last Saturday night coming back from a 5-1 deficit to force overtime, but it was the Warriors who got the last laugh after Mason Richey scored the OT winner and the first of the 2019 exhibition campaign. Saturday’s game was also the first game Head Coach and General Manager used his veterans up front, giving his squad a little offensive firepower after scoring a combined two goals in two games combined.

The Vees and the Warriors went head to head last weekend but it didn’t look like your average battle between the Central and South Okanagan rivals. Both clubs were utilizing lineups consisting of prospects of the future. This time around expect both Warriors Head Coach and General Manager Brandon West and Vees Head Coach and General Manager Fred Harbison to dress lineups consisting mostly of veteran players. There’s some notable Warriors players who are still looking to see some game time including Captain Jake Harrison and Austin Chorney.

Tonight’s game will be broadcast on both HockeyTV and the Warriors Mixlr Network. Puck drop at 6:30pm from the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton.
