NEWS: Warriors To Honour Veterans On Wednesday vs. Silverbacks

The West Kelowna Warriors Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club is pleased to announce that the team will be paying their respects to the veterans who risk their lives to fight for Canadian freedom with our Remembrance Ceremony, taking place on Wednesday, November 8th against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.

The armed forces fight every day to keep everyone in Canada safe and maintain their regular day-to-day lifestyle, even at the expense of their own. The Warriors are proud to be hosting a night to give back to the brave men and women who selflessly fight to protect our country and freedoms.

In addition, the Warriors will be wearing special commemorative jerseys for one night only to pay our respects to the veterans. The jerseys will be available for auction through the Warriors website immediately following the game on Wednesday night against the Silverbacks.

“It’s so important for us to have a night where we can pay our respects to our veterans,” commented Warriors Director of Business Operations Alex Draper, “They do so much to keep our country safe so it’s great to have a night where we can show our support to all of our veterans.”

The Warriors and Silverbacks are slated for a 7:00 PM puck drop on Wednesday night at Royal LePage Place with tickets for the game being available for purchase through the Warriors office, by calling (250) 769-7051 or at the door ahead of the opening face-off. Details on the Warriors jersey auction will be available through the Warriors website and social media outlets.

The Warriors have introduced a new Fan’tatstic Five ticket package that gives fans a chance to experience five of the most highly anticipated games of the season for just $55.55 with games against the Wenatchee Wild, Penticton Vees, Salmon Arm Silverbacks, Vernon Vipers and Victoria Grizzlies.
