WEST KELOWNA B.C. – The West Kelowna Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club is pleased to announce the commitment of local forward Carter Schmidt (‘04) for the 2020-21 season.
The Kelowna, BC native tallied 15 goals and 35 assists in 29 games played with Okanagan Rockets (BCU16). “We are very excited for Carter to join the Warriors family”, said Warriors Head Coach Simon Ferguson. “Carter has a high hockey IQ great shot and is not afraid to get to the dirty areas.”
The young forward was very excited to get the call from Head Coach Simon Ferguson,“I am excited to be suiting up with the Warriors” stated Schmidt. “It’s a big step from Midget hockey, and I’m really looking forward to it. Simon has a big impact on all the players, he knows a lot about the game and having a coach like him will be great for my development.”
Schmidt will turn 16 on November 19th.
The Warriors would like to welcome Carter and his family to the Warriors organization.
