Athletic Therapist/Equipment Manager
Qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates certified as Athletic Therapists
- Must be First Aid certified
- Previous experience in junior hockey an asset
- Concussion management certification & Taping/Strapping certification an asset
- Previous experience in strength and fitness an asset
- A valid passport is needed for cross-border travel
Job duties will include (not limited to):
- Injury response, rehabilitation & follow-up
- Documentation of all injuries & communication to coaches/management
- Documenting and overseeing insurance claims
- Maintaining and building on relationships with existing doctors and attending and managing appointments
- Dressing room setup for game days & practices
- Packing and preparing for road trips
- Willing to learn and assist with Skate sharpening
- Daily Laundry
- Preparing for visiting team/trainer’s arrival and assisting them where necessary
- Comply with all BCHL Hockey regulations
- Assist on dressing room upkeep
