PENTICTON B.C. – The Penticton Vees air a re-run of Game #1 with a 6-0 victory to take a 2-0 best of 7 series lead Saturday night.

It was almost the same first period as Game #1 with end to end action. Both goaltenders made some goal saving stops to keep it scoreless after 20 minutes. Vees would have two powerplay attempts which the Warriors would kill off. Shots 13-10 Warriors after one period.

The one thing the Warriors needed to do in this game was match the Vees play in period two. In Game #1 the Warriors surrendered six goals in the second frame. In Game #5 the Warriors would get themselves into penalty trouble and surrender 5 goals. Josh Nadeau would open the scoring with a powerplay goal after Tyler Rubin failed to clear. Then less than a minute later Steffano Bottini would make it 2-0 taking a pass from Ethan Mann behind the net. The Warriors penalty trouble would continue midway through the period. Bradley Nadeau would score off a great back door pass from his older brother Josh Nadeau with over 8 minutes remaining to make it 3-0. The Vees would score another pair of goals within a minute with Bradley Nadeau scoring the third powerplay goal of the evening for the Vees to make it 4-0. Then Luc Wilson would score the Vees fifth goal of the game with 3:04 remaining.

The Warriors played better in the third period but took some more penalties after the midway mark allowing the Vees to score once again. Luc Wilson would take a Josh Nadeau pass scoring on a two man advantage to take a 6-0 lead. The Warriors would push late in the game but Kaeden Lane would stand tall stopping all 20 shots he faced earning the shutout.

FINAL SHOTS: 38-20 Penticton Vees.
