WEST KELOWNA, B.C. – The Warriors(3-9-3-1) host the red hot Silverbacks(11-2-1) Friday night.

The Warriors are coming off the most exciting four games of the season picking up 6 out of 8 points, and doing it against some pretty good teams. Most recently the Warriors headed into the belly of the beast in Wenatchee where Brandon West and his Warriors team almost took 4 points. They took 3, and Coach West will take it after a rough start to the season. Last weekend’s games came as a shock for most Warriors fans, especially with the likes of Lucas Cullen who was out of the lineup leaving Trevor Adams as the only leader on the ice. Warriors played well as a cohesive unit, and managed to compete for a total of 60 plus minutes.
Tonight the Warriors will have a very tough test in the Salmon Arm Silverbacks, a club that is coming up a very impressive victory of Canada’s #1 ranked team the Penticton Vees. The Silverbacks are now Canada’s Junior A team to beat, as they continue to reply on BCHL Player of the Week goaltender Ethan Langenegger. Warriors know Langenegger is capable of stealing hockey games, and now that Langenegger has some scoring up front, it appears that the Silverbacks have the pieces for a Fred Page Cup run. Although the Warriors have lost all three matchups with the Silverbacks last season they kept them very close last time the Silverbacks were inside Royal LePage Place holding on to a 3-2 lead late. The Silverbacks would go on to tie it up and win in overtime, something the Warriors haven’t forgotten about since that September 24th meeting.
