The West Kelowna Warriors have acquired a pair of players from the Prince George Spruce Kings 4 days before the BCHL Trade Deadline.

The Warriors have added a pair of 20-year-old forwards in Bryan Basilico and Jake LeBrun, in exchange for forward Tanner Campbell (97) and Future Considerations.

Basilico is currently in his 3rd BCHL season after spending 2 seasons with the Trail Smoke Eaters, and has 10 goals and 13 assists in 33 games for the Spruce Kings this season.

For LeBrun, he will move away from his hometown of Prince George where he was the team captain, playing in 162 games for the Spruce Kings, with 53 goals and 52 assists.

“We’re adding experience and a veteran presence to our forward group, which adds some depth up front as we begin a crucial second half of the season” says Head Coach/GM Rylan Ferster.

The Spruce Kings will get a very gifted, smart offensive player in Campbell, who has a high ceiling as an 18-year-old. Campbell had 4 goals and 10 assists in 27 games this season.

“We would like to wish Tanner all the best in Prince George and thank him for his contributions to the Warriors” said Ferster.

Basilico is expected in the Warriors lineup Friday when they host the Merritt Centennials at Royal Lepage Place for a 7:00 pm puck drop
