They may be known for their hockey prowess, but the West Kelowna Warriors Junior A hockey players also know that literacy and learning are vital skills for a healthy and productive life. So the team has partnered with the Westbank Branch of the Okanagan Regional Library to host an after-school event on Wednesday, January 13 from 3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.

The whole team plans to be in attendance to talk to attendees about their career path, share some stories and conduct a mini hockey scrimmage. If the event proves popular, the Warriors may be able to visit the library again in February before hockey playoffs.

This is a free drop-in event for all school-aged children; call the Westbank Library at 250-768-4369 for further details.
