Warriors Drop One in PG

 

The Prince George Spruce Kings scored three times in the first period to defeat the Westside Warriors 3-1 Saturday night in Prince George.

 

All the scoring occurred in the game?s first period.

 

The Warriors got down 2-0 before rookie Brett Howe tallied his third of the season to make it 2-1.

 

Westside native Colten Derickson scored to restore Prince George?s two goal lead and the team's ended the first period

 

“I thought we played a great second and third period we just couldn't find the back of the net,” said assistant coach Misko Antisin. “We didn't capitalize on our opportunities.”

 

The Warriors travel to Quesnel to play the Millionaires Sunday to wrap up a three game weekend. Game time is 2 p.m.

 

The loss dropped Westside's record to 18-11-0-1.
