Warriors Begin December with 2 Big Games

Your Westside Warriors are off to face their Interior Conference arch rivals the Penticton Vees this Wednesday, December 3rd for a 7pm start in Penticton at the South Okanagan Events Center. The Warriors currently sit in 4th place with a 18-12-0-3 record, while the Penticton Vees are in 5th place with a 17-10-0-4 record. The Vees have a 5-3-0-2 record in their last ten games, while the Warriors went 4-5-0-1 in their last ten games.  The Warriors are looking to turn their fortunes around and return to the level they were playing at 3 weeks ago.  This will be the sixth time this year that the two teams have played. Penticton has had the upper hand as the Warriors have only won 1 out of the last 5 games played versus the Vees, so the Warriors will be well prepared and ready to get back on track versus their arch rivals down in Penticton. The two team?s last game was won by your Westside Warriors 5-2 to give the Vees their first loss in their new building. Penticton is lead by #5 Curtis McKenzie, and #11 Denver Manderson with 31 points each. Your Westside Warriors have been lead by the BCHL sixth ranked goaltending, #33 Kevin Jebson, with a 2.73 GAA, and .901 SV%. Offensively the Warriors are led by #22 Trevor Bailey with 28 points, and offensive defencemen,  #3 Justin Schultz, and #27 Cory Pritz with 27 points each.

The Warriors are then back at home this Friday, December 5th at the Royal LePage Place for a 7pm start versus the Prince George Spruce Kings. The Spruce Kings are in 6th place in the Interior Conference with a 15-12-1-3 record. Both teams have split the season series, 1 game apiece, with Prince George winning the last time they met, 3-1 in Prince George. The Warriors beat the Spruce Kings 2-1 last time they played in Westside. Prince George has been led by Northern Michigan University commitment, # 26 Sam Muchalla with 43 points, who is in the top 10 of the BCHL point leaders list.
