Rod Hume – Owner/Managing Partner

Rod Hume is currently Account Manager at WestKey Graphics in Kelowna. Rod has an extensive career in the printing and graphics industry. In 1992, Rod left Toronto and founded a printing company in Silicon Valley. After building that business for fifteen years, Rod and his family moved to Kelowna in 2008. Rod has a long and diverse background in hockey. He played youth hockey in Toronto. While in California, Rod was a coach in the San Jose Junior Sharks organization. Since coming to Kelowna, Rod’s passion has been to train young hockey players in strength and conditioning. Rod and his family have been Warriors fans for several years and are now proud to be owners of the team.

 

 

 

 

 

 

John Murphy – Owner/Governor

John Murphy purchased the Warriors, along with partner Rod Hume, in November 2019. John is currently the Founding Partner and Chief Executive Officer of JAM Investment Management, LLC, an investment firm focused on investments across asset classes. Prior to this, John was the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Alydar Capital, a Boston-based hedge fund. His career as a professional investor spans three decades. John has an extensive background in hockey. He was a four-year letter-winner at Harvard and was a member of the team that won the 1989 NCAA National Championship. In addition, John has coached extensively at the youth level and has been involved building the East Coast Wizards, a prominent hockey organization in the Boston area. John sits on the board of the Edge Sports Center, the company that developed, owns and operates an arena and multi-sports complex in Bedford, Massachusetts. John graduated from Harvard University in 1990 with a degree in Economics, and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1994. After growing up in Toronto, John and his wife, Claire, look forward to spending significant time in West Kelowna.
