WEST KELOWNA, B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors announced Monday the dates for their opening round playoff series against the Trail Smoke Eaters, which will begin on Friday, March 2nd.
The Warriors secured the 5th seed in the Interior Division with a victory on Friday night in overtime against the Merritt Centennials while the Smoke Eaters have been locked into the 4th seed for most of the month of February. This will mark the 4th year that West Kelowna and Trail will meet in the playoffs with the Warriors winning each of the last three playoff series head-to-head.
The two teams met three years in a row with the Warriors defeating the Smoke Eaters three games to none in a best-of-five series in 2009 before a five-game series win in 2010. West Kelowna went on to a seven-game series win over Trail in 2011 before their meeting this season.

The Warriors and Smoke Eaters open their first-round playoff series on Friday night at Cominco Arena in Trail for a 7:00 PM opening puck drop. The game can be heard live on the Warriors Internet Network and seen on HockeyTV.com beginning with the pre-game show at 6:45 PM with the Voice of the Warriors, Trevor Miller.
