NEWS: French Signs Amateur Contract With Utica In AHL

After a fantastic four-year career with the Bentley University Falcons, West Kelowna Warriors alumni forward Max French has signed an amateur tryout contract with the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League (AHL), the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks.

French, 24, recently completed his senior season at Bentley University playing in 38 games ranking first on the team in assists with 22 and points with 39. Following the regular season, he was named to the NCAA First All-Star team for the second consecutive season. Last season, French led the team in goals with 23 and points with 47. The West Kelowna, BC native amassed 143 points (67-76-143) in 138 career collegiate games at Bentley University.

During a four-year career with the Warriors, spanning from the 2009-2013 season, French tallied a total of 67 goals and 149 points and sits 4th all-time in Warriors scoring. French added 11 goals and 15 points in 31 playoff games with the Warriors spending his final two seasons in West Kelowna as the team’s captain before heading to Bentley University.
